The People’s Bank of China has announced the issuance of a new set of National Treasure (Unified Climate) commemorative coins on June 14, 2025. The collection consists of five legal tender coins – two gold and three silver – showcasing China’s most iconic cultural artifacts.
Design Specifications Revealed
All coins in the set feature the national emblem of China on the obverse side, along with the country name and issuance year. The reverse designs pay homage to five significant historical relics:
The 15-gram rectangular gold coin displays the “Five Stars Rising in the East Benefits China” brocade armguard with corresponding inscription. Marked with a face value of 200 yuan, this 29mm×19mm coin contains 15g of 99.9% pure gold with a maximum mintage of 2,000 pieces.
A 3-gram circular gold coin depicts the Shang Yang square measuring vessel with partial inscriptions. This 18mm-diameter piece carries a 50-yuan denomination and will have limited production of 5,000 coins at 99.9% purity.
Three 15-gram silver coins complete the set:
The bronze chariot and horse design features Qin dynasty patterns

The drumming storyteller figurine incorporates Han brick patterns
Each 33mm silver coin has a 5-yuan face value and 10,000-piece maximum mintage per design.
