OCC Reports 8.4% Increase in Average Daily Loan Value for April

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) reported an 8.4% year-on-year (YoY) increase in the average daily loan value for securities lending transactions, totaling $174.9 billion in April.

The total number of securities lending transactions cleared on the OCC platform rose by 32.1% YoY, reaching 325,116 in April.

In terms of overall futures and options cleared, OCC saw a 24.3% YoY increase, with a total of 1.2 billion contracts cleared in April.

The corporation also experienced significant growth in specific contract types, with ETF options contracts rising by 28.8% YoY to 557.2 million and equity options contracts increasing by 23.2% YoY to 604.9 million.

On the other hand, the number of cleared futures contracts dropped by 4.7% YoY, totaling 6.4 million contracts for April. However, index options volumes saw an 11.5% YoY rise, reaching 107.9 billion contracts.
